********50TH REUNION******** *******SEPTEMBER 20-22, 2012******* The time is drawing near! Yes, we graduated 50 years ago, so now it's time to celebrate at our 50th Reunion on Homecoming Weekend! Those classmates for whom we have contact info should have recently received (either via email or snail mail) a newsletter from Sue Hyde Jones detailing the plans. For those who haven't gotten the newsletter, events will kick off Thursday morning with an update by the U-High administration on current campus happenings and climax with a dinner Saturday evening at the new Marriott in Uptown Normal (yes, Downtown Normal is called Uptown Normal now!). Other events include a light meal and social at Orval Yarger's house on Friday and attending the Homecoming Game and a pre-game luncheon as honored guests of U-High on Saturday afternoon. Each event is optional and priced separately (some are free!), so you don't have to sign up for everything. The Marriott has been selected as our headquarters hotel and they are offering a very favorable rate to reunion-goers. If you didn't get the newsletter, that means we don't have current contact info for you. Check the Alumni List button at the right and use the Add Alumni button to make any corrections. Also, please contact any of the three classmates listed below to get the newsletter and sign-up sheet for the reunion. We don't want anyone to miss the reunion because they didn't know about it! The info sheet to be returned to her is included in the newsletter. Even if you're not attending the reunion, please return your info to Shery by August 1st. Anyone attending at least one of the paid events at the reunion will receive a free copy of the yearbook; the cost will be $5 for everyone else.
